Two of Kansas’s five resettlement offices are ending their resettlement programs this fall.
Declines in arrivals and federal funding have forced the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops–which oversees 60 of U.S.’s 360 resettlement offices–to withdraw from the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program this fall. Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas and Catholic Charities of Southwest Kansas are two offices impacted.
Donating to these offices can help position them to resume resettlement should the federal landscape change.
