Declines in arrivals and federal funding have forced The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops to withdraw from the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program. As a result, Catholic Charities of Jacksonville–alongside the 59 other resettlement offices overseen by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops–will be unable to resettle refugees next year. Church World Services is also closing its offices in Jacksonville and Kissimmee.
Donating to these offices can help position this office to resume resettlement should the federal landscape change.
