Three of Illinois’ eleven resettlement agencies will be unable to resettle refugees next year.
Declines in arrivals and federal funding have forced the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops–which oversees 60 of the U.S.’s 360 resettlement offices–to withdraw from the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program. The Refugee Center, Catholic Charities Chicago, and Catholic Charities Rockford are all impacted, though they will continue to provide services to refugees already resettled in Illinois.
Donating to these offices can help position these agencies to resume resettlement should the federal landscape change and support your newest neighbors.

Illinois deserves a Refugee Program it can rely on.
Refugees do too.
